Oblong goldtone lift up clasp closure, base of purse is flat with goldtone feet; interior is champagne faille with a single side pocket. Adorable bag, plenty roomy enough for your wallet, compact & cell       $28.00           Item #mhp05, Outstanding New/Old 50s 'Garay' Coral & Peach Handbag Absolutely stunning designer handbag with metallic gold accents & one of the most fabulous clasps we've ever seen! Ca. 1950s, 'Garay' label - still has original hangtags and is new/old or deadstock Foldover BIG round goldtone clasp has amber and peachy pink stones inset; exterior of bag is plastic covering peach satin and has reverse painted dark coral (almost deep orange), olive green and black vertical designs front and back. Interior is a luscious pale peach matching satin with one zipper pocket and one mirror pocket. Metallic gold piping surrounds Measures a whopping 16" wide by 8" high, 2" front to back depth, handle is 1" wide with a 6" drop In excellent, never used condition however does have a few boo-boos; there is a 1" crack near the front right corner which we repaired (so won't spread or flake off) There is also another dime sized area on the back left side where the plastic has cracked and is missing (also repaired by us) This has left a slightly milky look to the plastic in thar area, but there should be no further breakage there. The plastic itself is slightly stiff throughout from poor storage but the purse is very usable - just wouldn't overfill! There is a dime sized area on the front left coral where the color appears to be missing (may be a machine error?) Truly doesn't detract as you will see in our large photos. Clasp is excellent, stones intact, closes firmly, interior is near mint as well. A bit of goldtone sheen is missing on the top frame, that is all. Still a very rare find! Measures 12" wide by 8" high, 4" depth front to back, handles have a 4" drop In very good condition with age wear and tarnish to the goldtone clasp; 2 or 3 match head sized places on the front where the straw is unpainted (could be touched up - looks original NOT wear) interior is very good as well with no tears, stains. Ca. 1950s, early 60s - handmade in the Bahamas as you can see by the awesome orange embroidred 'NASSAU' on the front of the bag Bag is covered in gorgeous orange and champagne knotted flowers with embroidered green leaves and stems. Has a flat oval base. Two handles are treated straw. Interior is sassy orange fabric; all edges are whipstitched and hand done in white Measures 15" wide at base, 11" high, 5" depth front to back. Handles have an 8" drop. In excellent, like new condition with no breakage, fade, marks, etc. ONE OF A KIND look for summer ladies!
