Item #wh041, Black/White Adorable Abstract Print 50s Dress

  • Unique leafy abstract print black and white cotton sleeveless dress with cool faux velveteen trim down the center peeking thru a criss/cross pattern

  • Ca. 1940s, early 50s - 'Jack Squire Original' label
  • Matching belt included, dress is unlined; side metal zipper
  • Measures approx size M/L - just under 38" bust, 30" waist, 40+" hips, 14-1/2" from shoulder to waist, 41" total length from shoulder to hem edge (with a 3"+ hem that could be let down)
  • In very good condition and would be excellent except there is a hint of pinkish tint/fade along the right side below the waist (front quarter of skirt only). Almost as if it was stored/hanging next to something that faded onto it over time; it is very faint, and the dress is still very wearable however it is there and the white areas have a pink hint in the sunlight. The faux velveteen strip down the center is a wee bit crunch as well. Still sturdy, no holes or other stains - very wearable just not quite perfect.
  • Fab print - cool and comfy! Bargain priced! Adorable with the raincoat above.....

Item #ma710, Rare 40s Style Straw Box Purse

  • Unique and chic little straw box purse with 1940s style to spare! Braided straw shoulder strap makes this bag the perfect accessory!

  • Ca. 1970s or 80s but very 40s style...

  • Loop and rosette straw button closure - interior is unlined, flat base
  • Measures 7" wide by 6-1/2" high, 3-1/2" depth front to back, strap is 3/4" wide with a 15" drop
  • In excellent vintage condition with no fade, breakage, etc. Strap is held on with knotted straw; this is a sturdy purse but we don't suggest overstuffing it due to the construction of the strap.

Item #al244, Unusual Black & White Lacquered Straw Hat

  • Unique and unusual black straw hat with lacquered white rolled edging

  • Ca. 1950s, possibly early 60s - 'Richard Originals' label
  • Hat has a short brim and a low crown - what's unusual is the donut like wide rolled white lacy look straw that surrounds the brim; sewn on and attached in the back by a black velveteen wide ribbon that dangles down a bit. It's got it all going on here!
  • Elastic chin or back-of-hair band still attached - underside of brim has matching white lacy straw
  • Measures 9-1/2" wide side to side, 3" high, 20" interior circumference; this hat will fit small heads best (our mannequin head is a small size and shows the hat down on the head and tilted; medium or larger sized heads will have to wear it back on the crown)
  • In very good to excellent vintage condition; crown is slightly smooshed from storage but will firm up once stuffed or worn. There are 2 or 3 very faint matchhead sized dark areas on the white trim; no fade, breakage, etc. Very wearable and very cute! Not quite perfect
